Quickly realizing that traditional financial services weren't built to serve the needs of young, creative professionals with real income and no one to call for help, he co-founded Brooklyn Fi with AJ.
Under his leadership, what began as a boutique tax firm evolved into a national firm known for its technical depth, smart systems, and human-first advice. Shane's expertise spans both tax and financial planning, with a particular focus on building scalable processes for delivering high-quality advice to tech professionals and creatives on their path to financial independence.

When I'm not helping clients navigate complex financial decisions or co-hosting The Liquidity Event podcast, you can find me doing my best to tire out my Australian Shepherd Charlie at whatever city's dog park we're in, usually with a tennis ball and kindle in hand. I'm a bit of a gym rat, and I love exploring new places - from sailing across the Atlantic to visiting the Studio Ghibli museum in Tokyo. A frequent speaker at industry conferences, I enjoy sharing insights about equity compensation, tax strategy, and the intersection of tech and finance while helping other advisors build modern advisory firms.
