Shane Mason, CPA/PFS, CFP®, CPWA®

Shane Mason, CPA, CFP®, CPWA is a Co-Founder of the firm. He started his career in Big Four accounting, but quickly realized that traditional financial services weren’t built to serve the needs of young, creative professionals with real income and no one to call for help.
That realization led to the launch of a boutique tax firm, which evolved into Brooklyn Fi—a national firm known for its technical depth, smart systems, and human-first advice. Shane’s expertise spans both tax and financial planning, with a focus on building scalable processes for delivering high-quality advice.
He is a frequent speaker at accounting and advisory industry conferences, where he shares insights on equity compensation, tax strategy, and building modern advisory firms.
